Wishlist: Fund the Next VR Learning Experiences

The Wishlist is a collection of educator-requested VR learning experiences (most of which also include A.I.) that Curio is ready to build. Each item represents a real classroom need identified by schools, districts, and/or colleges/universities.

You fund an item once, and Curio will handle design, development, launch, distribution, and long-term support.

  • No recurring fees or maintenance costs (all ongoing costs are covered by Curio)
  • Immediately available to schools worldwide (free of charge) through Curio’s existing VR application
  • Fully tax-deductible through VR in Schools Foundation 501(c)(3)

When a Wishlist item is funded, Curio manages the entire lifecycle of the experience, ensuring it remains accessible and supported over time.

Why This Wishlist Exists

The Challenge

Educational VR experiences are expensive to build from scratch, and it is difficult for individual apps to achieve widespread adoption. Many grants fund tools that never reach classrooms, never make it through district approval processes, or lack the long-term support needed to stay useful.

Curio changes that.

Curio’s Approach

Because Curio has already built the core technology, platform, infrastructure, and educator network, new VR learning experiences can be created for more than 80% less than the cost of building a standalone VR app from scratch.

Just as importantly, Curio is already in use across schools, colleges, and universities. The app has gone through the difficult work of district whitelisting, security reviews, data privacy audits, device deployment, and ongoing technical support. In other words, Curio has already laid the railroad tracks.

The Wishlist lets funders focus their dollars where they matter most: creating new, educator-requested learning content that can launch into an existing platform and reach many classrooms immediately.

Every Wishlist item:

  • Originates from specific classroom requests
  • Is built with educator input
  • Aligns to academic standards
  • Launches to an existing user base
  • Avoids the risk of funding unused or unsupported technology
  • Benefits from Curio’s ongoing updates, maintenance, security work, and platform improvements — costs that are especially significant in VR compared to phone-based apps

Funding a Wishlist Item

Funding a Wishlist item is a one-time (tax-deductible) contribution.

Once funded, Curio:

  1. Confirms scope and learning objectives with requesting educators
  2. Designs and builds the learning experience
  3. Deploys it on the Curio platform
  4. Provides immediate awareness to hundreds of schools/institutions
  5. Supports ongoing access and covers ongoing costs

Funders do not need to manage development, updates, or awareness.

Contact Curio to fund a Wishlist item.

Submit a Wishlist Idea

Request an Existing Wishlist Item

Institutions/organizations may also add their names to an existing Wishlist item and participate as educator advisors during development. The more folks asking for an item to be built, the more attractive it becomes for funders.
